Well we had the best of intentions today to eat at the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast.  However, they only serve until 9:30 and we didn't wake up until 8:45.  There was no way we could both get ready in time so we didn't even try.  When we did finally get ready we went to the Neptune Lounge to see what they had to eat and they still had their breakfast food out so we got a quick bite to eat in there and just relaxed while we decided which other excursions we wanted to book.  I think we have something booked in all except 2 ports and we haven't yet decided what to do in those ports.

We decided to check out the ship since we didn't look at it all yesterday.  We found the shops and tried to look around in there but they were very crowded so we didn't stay in there long.  I forgot my waterproof watch on this trip and I did find one for $10 but don't know if I will go back and get it or not.  After that we walked through the casino.  It wasn't very busy and it looked like there weren't very machines in there but I tried not to linger because I didn't want to be lured in there.  We decided to go to the Culinary Arts Center and watch a cooking demonstration with the Chef of the Pinnacle Grill.  He made a lobster salad and Creme Brûlée.  I was glad we went because they gave us all a sample of the Creme Brûlée which is one of my favorites.

When the cooking demonstration was over it was time for lunch.  I didn't want to eat a big lunch so we went to the Lido.  I opted to just have a sandwich and it was very tasty.  Krista had the same thing but she did go hunt the bread pudding down and I watched her eat it.  It looked very good.  For the first 48 hours on the ship we can't serve ourselves and they have to serve everything to us.  I guess that isn't so bad because I like being served.  However, it was really slow waiting in line to just get a glass of water to drink.

It is really a lazy day.  The ship is rocking and rolling quite a bit and it is very gray outside and looks to be windy.

We came back to the cabin to rest for a while.  Finally I told Krista that we needed to get out of the cabin for a while and maybe we could go to the Neptune Lounge for an afternoon snack.  We went down there for a while and then walked through the ship again.  We got back to the cabin around 4:00.  I was in the shower and heard someone come to the door.  I thought it was probably Krista's cleaning that she had sent out and requested back for formal night.  When I got out, there was this huge plate of food there that our cabin steward had sent to us.  There were 2 plates of hot snacks and one plate of cold snacks.  We weren't hungry but tried to eat some of it and made it look like we had eaten at others.  I was hoping he would take the rest of it away when he made up the room that night and he did.

We were dressed in our finest for formal night, well Krista was anyway.  There's not much an old woman can do, but she can try!  Dinner was once again fast.  This is something that we have never experience before.  However we are not ordering all the courses so that probably helps.  It also seemed that the dining room is not that full.  However, the first night we were sailing away during dinner and some people might have opted to do something else for dinner that night and last night being formal night, some people don't wish to dress up and go to the lido.

The show was to be the Captain's welcome aboard toast and then the singers and dancers.  It was to start at 7:00 pm.  We got down there at 6:30 pm and the doors were still shut so we opted to skip the show and go to the Thermal Suites, so that is what we did.  We also lose another hour of sleep tonight.   We are setting an alarm so we don't miss breakfast in the morning.
