Today is all about food…….

This is a sea day so we slept in a little later because there was no place that we needed to be except to eat breakfast.

We met Pat & Terry at the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast at 9:00 am.  The food was good as it has always been there.  When we finished breakfast it was almost time for 11:00 am bingo but we did have a little time to kill in the casino.  I played the $1 Wheel of Fortune machine and hit $100.  That was nice and Mary P won $120 in the Wild Cherry $1 slots.  We didn't have any luck at bingo.  I was the first one at bingo to get down to 1 number on the last game but someone else won.

After bingo it was time for lunch.  They were having the Mariner's Luncheon today.  I always enjoy going to these because this is the only time they serve quiche and it is delicious.  We have not finished lunch and we are just waiting until time to go to dinner.  We are going to the Pinnacle Grill tonight for their special dinner they have once during the cruise -- Le Cirque.  I have never been to it before and am looking forward to it.

The first Noordam Superstars is tonight and we will go to that also, but our friend Tony told us he didn't sign up to compete in it.  There are some pretty good singers on this cruise so it should be good.

Tonight is formal night.  We were invited to a cocktail party with the Captain tonight but did not attend.

The Le Cirque meal at the Pinnacle Grill was delicious. They started out with an appetizer with goose liver and this was the only part that I did not care for.  This was followed by a salad with lobster and a corn soup which were both very good.  Mary P, Pat and I had the halibut  for the main entree and it was so tender and tasty.  The serving was so big I was unable to finish it.  Terry got the prime rib and said it was good but he tasted Pat's halibut and he said that next time he would probably get that.  For dessert they had 3 things to choose from -- creme brulee, chocolate soufflé, and 3 kinds of sorbet.  We couldn't decide what to get so Mary P, Pat and I each got both the creme brulee and chocolate soufflé.  The creme brulee was the best.  Terry had both the creme brulee and the 3 kinds of sorbet and I think he liked the creme brulee as well.

Tomorrow we get an hour back.   Of course they will probably just take it back from us again the next day.  We will be in Tunisia.  We have booked an excursion through the ship which is mainly riding around on a bus and looking out the window.  We normally don't like excursions like that, but we felt safer that way.
