Today we are in Albany after rocking and rolling all night long. We had a private tour. We first went to see The Gap and The Natural Bridge with amazing lookouts. Next stop was the Whaling Station where David went on a tour while the rest of us browsed in the gift shop.
We then went to the Wind Farm and went on a walk for approximately 1 mile where we got to see some of the most gorgeous seaside views. I could have looked at those views all day long.
It was about time for lunch so we went to Middleton Beach and ate at a local restaurant. After lunch Beth went down to the water and put her foot in.
Our guide suggested going to a place where a local carves all sorts of things out of trees. It is located on his property where he lives and you just drive through and look at his work. I asked how old he was and our guide thought he was about 50. He is really talented. I will post some pictures to Facebook later.
We made a brief stop at the Anzac Center but we didn’t have tike to take the tour so we just went in the gift shop and Beth walked to the top of the hill for some more good views.
We returned to the ship around 3:00. We sailed away a little after 4:00. We used a tug to help us pull away from the pier as the winds were up.
Tonight we had a free dinner at the Steakhouse. It was bette this time than the last time but none of us were very hungry because we had all had a big lunch.
No shows for us tonight after touring all day and we have another tour in the morning around 9:00. Tomorrow will be our first tender port.
