We leave to go home today. After eating breakfast we went back to our room and repacked our suitcase for the last time. We got a late checkout for 1:00 pm.

We finally left the hotel around 1:15 pm or so. It was an easy drive to the rental car place. They checked us in quickly and a bus was there in a matter of minutes to take us to the airport. There were only 6 of us on the bus which was much nicer than when we arrived and the bus was packed. He let us off at the curb near American Airlines check in. First we had to send our bags through a scanner for agriculture.

American checked us in quickly and then we were off to security. We both had TSA Pre-Check and were the only ones in that line so we were through there in record time.

We stopped at the food court and got a bite to eat at Burger King for lunch and then did a little shopping.

We got to our gate early so it was easy to get a good seat to wait it out. We boarded the plane easily and found our really nice First Class seat. Got settled in and had a glass of orange juice. The Captain told us we will be landing at DFW about 30 minutes early. We began taxiing and ready to take off and the Captain came on and said there was a security issue with a bag so back to the gate we go. We are sitting here now. There was probably a 30 minute delay and are ready to take off now.

We took off and I had dinner. It wasn’t my favorite but they do have Dr Pepper and the ice cream sundae was to die for. I watched 2 movies and dozed for a little while. I didn’t want any breakfast because I wasn’t hungry and I will be home in a few hours and can have good food there.

We are less than an hour from landing so I will sign off until next time.
