April 22, 2018

This morning I awoke refreshed and ready to face the day. We went down for our complimentary breakfast around 10:00 am and it was still really crowded. Breakfast was adequate but I missed my apricot preserves from the ship.

After breakfast we picked up some brochures to look at to try and decide what we wanted to do. I was hesitant to try and go to Waikiki since the traffic had been so bad the previous day. We decided to go check out the Dole Pineapple Plantation. They had a huge gift shop which we enjoyed. They also had a train ride, walk through the gardens and a maze to walk through. We only did the train ride which we enjoyed.

From there we drove over to the North Shore and watched people play in the water. We also witnessed what appeared to be a rescue where we watched the rescue squad launch their boats and jet skis in the water. We couldn’t see where they went to and didn’t wait for them to return. Hopefully everything turned out ok.

We also stopped at a coffee factory which didn’t amount to much. That stop didn’t take long.

We were getting hungry and found an Outback to eat a late lunch, early dinner. The service and food weren’t the best but at least we were no longer hungry.

I was trying to find us a way to get back to our hotel but all I did was get us lost. We weren’t where I thought we were. I thought we were a lot closer than we were. We finally got back in the area of our hotel and explored to find other eateries close to the hotel for future reference.

We spent the evening watching tv in our room. We have a 2 room suite with 2 TV’s so we each get to watch what we wanted.
